You can save some money on groceries by shopping for specials at each store in your area. If you have the time. Get the ads whenever they come out in your newspaper, Wednesday were I live, and just shop the specials from store to store. Use coupons available in the Sunday newspaper also.

When my children were small, my husband got down sized out of a job, we shop all store brand, had some fun too, let the kids do a taste test, the store brand was just as good as name brand on many things, cereal to hair shampoo.

Also when stores {hate to say this} went out of business we took advantage and got things 70% off. Diapers buy whats on sale that week,
Coupons on everything at the market to eating out, only with a coupon.
We did that about 16Yrs ago, with every ones help, and I must say it was the best time of our lives, we were all pulling together.

My best advice is to make sure you know what the sales are before hand and which coupons match up with those sales. Then you can stock up until the next sale. The website http://www.afullcup.com has Shopping Lists for what sales are coming up for each store. They also match up which coupons to use in order to make many items free/cheap. They have saved me so much money since I joined 2 years ago. The best part is the site is completely free!
